FAQs

Q:  When are you open?

A:  We are a working farm and our hours can change depending on the weather conditions. We ask that you check our website or all social media platforms for updates for weather conditions and berry production (seasonal) before you make your trip.

Q:  Are your berries organic? GMO (Genetically Modified)?

A:  No, we are not a certified organic Farm. However, we only use a very light pesticide when needed and we do it at a time to not disturb the bees that are pollinating the berries. We do not use pesticides in our blueberry and blackberry fields unless necessary. Our berries are not GMO.

Q:  When can we pick strawberries, blueberries, blackberries?

A:  Our farm will no longer be growing strawberries. Blueberry picking typically starts mid April, blackberry picking is in May.

Q: What is the cost of admission? How much are berries?

A: The admission cost to Farm Funland is $28.64 per person tax included. Children UNDER 2 are free. Senior Citizens (65 and older with ID) are $21.5. There is no admission fee to pick berries. You only pay for what you pick.

Q: Do you have baskets for berry picking?

A: Yes, We ask that you make plans to use Blessington Farms baskets. The weight of the basket is calibrated into the scales. The cost of the basket is $1.50 and can be re-used each time you come to the Farm.

Q: Should we plan on picking berries or playing first?

A: It is our recommendation that you always pick first. During certain seasons when we are busier than others we could be picked out early. If you plan on picking, it is best that you bring a cooler with ice (to store the berries). Come early and pick, then make it a great rest of the day and play in Farm Funland.

Q: What kind of fish do you stock in the Blessington Farms Lake? Cost to fish?

A: We have plenty of catfish and bluegill. Fishing is FREE with Farm Funland admission. Fishing is catch and release only and we ask that you bring your own pole and tackle. We do have poles available as well.

Q: Do I have to wear a wristband?

A: YES! Every guest is required to put their wrist band on before entering the farm.

Q: What activities are included with the cost of admission?

A: We have MANY fun activities for the family available on the Farm and we are continuously growing and adding more. It is important to note that your admission fee includes ALL the activities at the Farm (with the exception of camel feedings, bird feedings, flower picking (when available) which are $3 each. Gem mining, $6,$12,$25) and is good from opening until close. The activities include… Hay ride, Giant Slides, Sand Mountain, Barrel Train Rides, Rope Maze, Spider Web, Rat Race, Steer Roping, Pony Hops, Trek Bikes, Jump Pad, Fossil Dig, Trolley Swing, to name a few. Animal Encounters with chickens, camels, baby doll sheep, goats, and MANY more! You can even visit our Aviary where you can feed a variety of birds.

Q:  Can we bring food into the Farm?

A: Yes, we encourage you to bring prepared snacks, picnics, and drinks into the Farm. We do not allow grilling in the farm and we do ask that you not feed the animals. Dining is allowed in the designated picnic areas in Farm Funland only. Seasonally, we have a couple of food trucks that come to prepare a variety of items that are available for sale. We also offer drinks, water and small snacks for sale at the Farm.
